This Advanced Pre-Hospital Care Programme is desigined to provide in-depth knowledge and skills through and intensive 7 day programme that will allow patient stabilisation in a remote environment, prior to accessing definitive medical care.
This demanding programme provides a trauma and medical pre-hospital skill set that is admirably suited to Outdoor Professionals, Close Protection Officers, Emergency Response Personnel, and Expedition Leaders who lead groups in remote environments. The course is tutored by thoroughly experienced individuals who have direct practical knowledge and understanding of remote casualty care.
Candidates will need to demonstrate appropriate prior Medical/First Aid knowledge and experience that can be effectively enhanced by this programme. The course will not be appropriate for individuals with little or no medical awareness. CP personnel can act as Tier 1 Medic on successful course completion.
The 7 days will provide understanding of knowledge through practical application - and will ensure each student will follow a solid learning path that will be specific to them. This is acomplished through demonstration, individual/team execises and realistic scenarios held in our 25 acres of jungle style woodland. A significant proportion of the course will be conducted in actual combat/expedition conditions, replicating as closely as possible actual problems faced in the field.
